It's tough for Australia to set fresh records.

The top summits have already been conquered.

We're talking about the unit that has won seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to six more T20 titles, and previously enjoyed over three years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, the ones sought by the record chasers, are all that remain for a team that has won it all.

That it took as late as Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the biggest in the female 50-over format, is, in truth, a compliment to the pitchers that have sported the yellow jersey over five decades.

It's difficult for their batters to hold a record if not afforded the opportunity.

Finally, the outcome of Australia giving up 330 runs was skipper Alyssa Healy getting a chance to deliver her newest gem.

Then best known as the 19-year-old niece of celebrated previous Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she first played in 2010 after her nation failed to win either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups from the prior year and has witnessed all through 15 successful years since.

A T20 World Cup win came three months after her debut and seven international trophies have come from 10 attempts across formats.

A single was taken off the opening delivery and from there Healy was underway.

"An opportunity to go out there and lock in a contest with her and merely enjoy the moment that way, kind of motivated me," said Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 pitches - her quickest at the World Cup - and her century in 84 deliveries while she attacked short-pitched balls, striking 21 boundaries and three big hits.

Once she was removed Australia needed 66 more at run per delivery - a manageable total now needing a comfortable finish.

"To chase 330 is unfamiliar ground so I'm pleased we have the assurance to accomplish that now," stated Healy further.

"Ideally we won't need to do it another time but, if necessary, we believe we can do it."

Those words will be the ultimate thing competing nations at this championship should hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will win from any position has become more firm - this triumph following success over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite sitting at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a meeting with longtime competitors England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a last-four spot may probably be guaranteed.
